AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL
It is vital for air traffic control staff not to be distracted at certain times at work. In a move to help eliminate this risk, air traffic control at Shannon airport installed Cellphone Detector Plus™ in their control section. After seeing the successful commission of these Starport detectors, Dublin Airport Authority carried out a similar installation of the same product shortly after.
HOSPITALS
Ayreshire NHS installed several Cellphone Detector Plus™ units at entrance ways to wards and outside areas where there were concerns regarding sensitive electronic equipment such as the X-ray Department.
POLICE
Cellphone Detector Plus™ was installed at Cardiff Police Station to monitor and detect prohibited cellphone usage within the new custody suite. After several months the police authority requested additional units through their building contractor who informed us that their client was pleased with the product.
EMBASSIES
A foreign embassy in London acquired a Starport Cellphone Detector Plus™ to control the usage of cellphones within its visa department. The reason to prevent the use of cellphones by the public in that area was to reduce the risk of a coordinated terrorist attack. The head of security at the Embassy expressed his satisfaction regarding the purchase which was used in combination with other security measures.
MILITARY BASES
Senior officers in several military bases in Europe and elsewhere acquired Cellphone Detector Plus™ to be installed in various restricted zones of their bases.
SCHOOLS / COLLEGES / UNIVERSITIES
Schools purchased Cellphone Detector Plus™ for the dual purpose of controlling the usage of cellphones within the establishment and to deter examination fraud via SMS messaging.
UK GOVERNMENT
The British Government undertook a survey of cell phone usage by UK motorists. A number of Cellphone Detector Plus™ units were used by researchers and deployed at various parts of the UK to obtain the required roadside data.
RECORDING STUDIOS
A celebrity French artist
purchased Cellphone Detector Plus™ for his recording studio. He expressed delight with his purchase which was used to remind production personnel to switch their cellphones off during recording sessions.
